As often as I can, I walk Julian up to Prospect Park to use a playground there. Since it&#039;s gotten warm, that&#039;s been three or four days a week, but even when it was cold, we&#039;d walk up there two days a week if it wasn&#039;t icy.

The most direct route to that playground is 1.5 miles, but the most direct route uses Coney Island Avenue, which is HELL to walk, for many reasons. So we use various routes that are less direct. Those walks vary from just over 3 miles, round trip, to up to 5 miles round trip.

I was doing that 3 - 4 times a week and STILL NOT LOSING WEIGHT. Obviously some things needed to change. Adding a running component to my daily workout is one.]]></description>
